On August 1, the first Nizhny Novgorod-Chengdu-Ho Chi Minh International train departed, loaded with auto parts from the Chengdu International Railway Port on the Qingbai River in Chengdu, bound for Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
It is reported that this international train is the first cross-continental rail-sea combined transport train for the return journey of Russia's northern line to connect the new western land-sea passage, realizing the combined transportation of China-Europe trains and China-Vietnam trains. In the early stage, the train arrived at Chengdu International Railway Port from Nizhny Novgorod, Russia by China-Europe train, and will be transferred to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam through the Chengdu-Qinzhou rail-sea combined train.

The difference is that this test train is expected to take 30-40 days to complete the journey, compared with shipping by sea. The opening of this line will further improve the international freight network of Chengdu International Express, which is conducive to attracting more high-quality sources of goods, providing a broad cooperation platform for business exchanges in Europe, Asia and Southeast Asia, and continuously expanding Chengdu International Express in Asia, Europe and Southeast Asia. The radiation surface and international influence of the project will enhance the energy level of the Asia-Rong-Europe Hub.
